Role Overview
As a Medical Coding Trainee, you will be trained to analyze medical records, assign appropriate codes for billing and insurance claims, and ensure compliance with healthcare documentation standards. This role offers comprehensive training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to a long-term career in medical coding and healthcare analytics.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze and review patient medical records for accuracy and completeness.
· Assign appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with healthcare billing and documentation regulations.
· Collaborate with team members to maintain data accuracy and timeliness.
· Participate actively in training and continuous learning programs to enhance coding proficiency.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
Experience: Freshers only (no prior experience required).
Skills:
· Good communication and teamwork abilities.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills.
· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
· Basic understanding of medical terminology (preferred).
Certifications: CPC, CCS, or equivalent certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
