RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION [Walk-In-Interview]
Applications are invited for the recruitment of two (02) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one (1) Young Professional -I (YP-I) under the Sub-Component I (Plant Virus) of the Project “All India Network Project on Emerging Pests (AINP-EP)” in the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi – 110012.
The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in interview on 13 March 2025 at 09:30 AM along with their complete bio-data in a prescribed Application Format. Candidates having Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET/GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019. Desirable: (i) NET/GATE qualified; (ii) Research experience in Plant Virology/Molecular Plant Pathology/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with knowledge of Computer and Bioinformatics, NGS data analysis, having high-quality publications in SCI journals; (iii) Higher degree in relevant subject and research experience. |
Important Instructions:

- No call letters will be issued. Applicants are expected to be present at the interview venue on the specified date and time. Bring hard copies of the duly filled application in the prescribed format along with one set of self-attested photocopies of certificates and original certificates with two copies of recent passport-size photos for verification.
- Late arrival (After 9:30 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as ABSENT.
Terms & Conditions:
- For details of qualifications and other requirements for the post, please refer to ICAR Office Memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 30th July 2019 & F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD(e-91506) dated 15th October 2024. Terms & conditions, norms, and guidelines as per this ICAR O.M. will be followed. The emolument of the above positions will be as per ICAR rules.
- Age limit: The maximum age is 35 years for men and 40 years for women for SRF. Relaxation of age limits in the case of Women/SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disabilities/PWD candidates as per Government norms will be given (SRF).
- The candidate’s age should be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years for YP-I. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.
- Candidates must compulsorily bring two copies of the duly filled application form in the prescribed proforma only (Given in Annexure-I & II), two passport-size photographs, and one set of self-attested photocopies of their certificates/mark sheets/experience proof, etc. Applicants must bring original documents at the time of the interview for verification.
- Only candidates having essential qualifications will be entertained for the interview.
- No Objection Certificate from the employer is required in case the candidate is currently employed.
- Candidates whose near/distant relatives are employees of ICAR/IARI must declare this and communicate it to this office as per the given format.
- Candidates reaching after the specified time may not be entertained.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The selected candidates shall not claim any regular appointments at this institute, as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview or cancel specific posts without assigning any reason.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, reserves the right to terminate the contract of the job mentioned above even before the completion of the project, for which no appeal shall be entertained.
- In case of any dispute, it will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the New Delhi Court only.
- The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.
- Reporting time for the interview: 9:30 AM at the Division of Plant Pathology. Candidates reaching after the specified time may not be entertained.
