Positions Available under the NTRF Sponsored Project
Applications are invited from interested eligible candidates for the position of One (01) Junior Research Fellow under a project entitled “Development of a Chitosan-Based Nano-Botanical Biopesticide Using Neem and Karanj Oil and Its Evaluation Against Tea Mosquito Bug, Looper and Red Spider Mite Infesting Tea (214/2023)” sponsored by NTRF at Entomology and Mycology & Microbiology Department, Tea Research Association, Jorhat, North Bengal Regional R&D Centre, Nagrakata, West Bengal as per the following details. The appointments will be purely on a temporary basis and hence the Institute will not provide any employment after completion of the project.
Position Details
- Position: Junior Research Fellow
- No. of Post: One
- Upper Age Limit: 32 Years
Qualification
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Life Sciences/Botany/Zoology/Agriculture with specialization in Entomology/Microbiology/Plant Pathology with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Having experience in Microbiology.
Monthly Fellowship
- Rs. 20,000.00 + 8% HRA
- Rs. 22,000.00 + 8% HRA (Third year)
Job Responsibility
- Fieldwork layout, screening of botanicals against pests and diseases
- Observation and record of data
- Data compilation of field and laboratory observations
- Report preparation, etc.

- Tea Research Association, North Bengal Regional R&D Centre, Nagrakata, West Bengal
General Instructions:
- The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- An interview will be conducted for the selection of candidates on 17th February, 2025 at 10:30 AM by virtual mode.
- Candidates should submit a soft copy of the duly filled-in application form along with their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and duplicate copies of the documents (testimonials of qualifications, mark sheets, experience, date of birth, etc.) to the email ID [email protected] / [email protected] on or before 12th February, 2025.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The link for the online interview will be sent to the respective shortlisted candidates.
- All other terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by the prevailing Institute’s rules, and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
- Selected candidates need to join immediately or at very short notice.
- The Director, Tea Research Association, Tocklai Tea Research Institute reserves all rights regarding the selection or rejection of a candidature, including cancellation of the interview without assigning any reason.
