Job Description:

Position Title: Production Officer for Britannia

Function: Production

Key Stakeholders:

• Internal: ENGG, STORE, QUALITY, FCC, HR
• External: Sales

Educational Qualification: Engineer Graduate / Food Technologist / M.Sc. Food Science / M.Sc. Chemistry

Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge of Biscuit Manufacturing Process
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Man Management Skills

Key Responsibilities:

• To deploy the right manpower at the right place to get maximum efficiency and output, and manage their enrollment in the payroll for incentives.
• Verification of all standard procedures for controlling weight/gauge, size, color, and appearance of the product.
• Setting the process parameters as per variety, arranging materials, and preparatory items.
• To collect and record different data required for TQM, prepare control charts, and control the process.
• To get maximum output by controlling changeover time, manufacturing defectives, and production downtime below the budgeted level.
• Continuous tracking of all raw material variances.
• Physical verification of CCPs like SIEVE, METAL DETECTOR, and WEBS, and maintaining documents as required by ISO, HAACP, and FCC formats.
• Recipe checks as per standard parameters of variety and preparatory items.
• Proper setting of variables like AMMONIA, S.M.B.S, WATER, and OVEN PROFILE to get the desired product meeting all quality standards.
• Using materials as per manufacturing date and lot number.
• Maintaining the biscuit grinder room, ensuring dust availability, and updating traceability records.
• Focusing on ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS and taking CORRECTIVE and PREVENTIVE ACTIONS as per F.B.C.
• Reducing all types of wastage caused by mechanical breakdowns.
• Ensuring all areas are hygienically maintained.
• Handling all types of audits, including AIB, ISO, Legal, FSSAI, etc.
