The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation.
To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory. iBRIC-inStem invites applications (in online mode) from eligible candidates for the post of Project Associate-II in the laboratory of Dr. Reena Singh, Asst. Investigator (Scientist-E).

Project Associate-I
Salary: ₹37,000/m + HRA (Net Qualified) | ₹30,000/m + HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology or equivalent from a recognized university
Job Description:
Carry out day-to-day wet-lab research activities in the lab of Dr. Reena Singh – Cardio Met Translational lab.
Self-driven candidates interested in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology with experience in immunocytochemistry, imaging, molecular biology, cell/tissue culture, and FACS are preferred but not mandatory.

Salary: ₹42,000/m + HRA (Net Qualified) | ₹33,000/m + HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology or equivalent from a recognized university and two years of experience in R&D in a scientific organization.
Job Description:
Carry out day-to-day wet-lab research activities in the lab of Dr. Reena Singh – Cardio Met Translational lab.
Self-driven candidates interested in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology with experience in immunocytochemistry, imaging, molecular biology, cell/tissue culture, and FACS are preferred but not mandatory.
Tenure: The initial engagement will be for a period of eleven (11) months, which may be extended further for an appropriate period(s) depending on the performance of the candidate and the requirement of the institute.

Selection Process: The selection process shall involve a Written Test/Interview or both.
General Conditions:

- The appointment will be on a full-time basis, and he/she will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of contract. The contract may be terminated by either party by giving one-month advance notice in writing.
- The incumbent will be required to conform to the rules and regulations of inStem in force from time to time and follow the discipline rules of the institute, failing which the contract may be withdrawn at any time.
- Mere fulfillment of the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for the selection process. Only the candidates shortlisted by a duly constituted Screening Committee will be called for the selection process. The decision of the institute in this regard will be final. No interim inquiries in this regard will be entertained.
- The incumbent will be entitled to leave as admissible to the contractual staff of the institute. The un-availed leave cannot be carried forward or encashed.
- No accommodation will be provided during the tenure of the incumbent.
