The Scientist I for Cytiva is responsible for:
Test work
- Execute basic complexity test work as required, with minimal guidance.
- Execute testing with minimal supervision.
- Write test reports.
- Support basic complexity internal test work in support of R&D, NPI, NPD, QC release testing, etc., as required by management.
Test preparation
- Review job requests and relevant MSDS, and fully understand requirements in accordance with laboratory SOPs, with minimal guidance.
- Ensure timelines and discuss schedule conflicts or modifications with laboratory management (and project manager, where necessary).
- Ensure documents are prepared appropriately using datasheets or laboratory notebooks.
Performing tests
- Ensure test apparatus are readily available and suitable, with minimal guidance.
- Operate, understand, and troubleshoot all equipment/instrumentation necessary to support testing, with minimal guidance.
- Ensure test work is completed according to laboratory request requirements, with minimal guidance.
- Ensure raw data is recorded into laboratory notebooks (or similar).
- Immediately notify laboratory management of any test delays, problems, or deviations.
Test completion
- Ensure laboratory reports meet laboratory request requirements with minimal guidance.
- Ensure projects meet on-time-delivery expectations.
This position
reports to the Manager, Fast Trak Validation & Lab Ops and is part of the Fast TrackTM Validation Services located in Bengaluru, India. This is an on-site role.At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Develop competence by performing structured work assignments.
- Use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
Who you are:
- Skilled in aseptic laboratory techniques and measurement methods.
- Ability to perform microbiology test work and execute work instructions.
- Application of GLP as appropriate and familiarity with GMP requirements.
- Provide scientific analysis of data (able to apply a basic knowledge of scientific principles).
- Conversant with PC-based programs.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Microbiology or Life Science.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- 1 year to 3 years of relevant industry experience.
