Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare Maternal Infant Care segment is looking for a System Intern. The role will provide immense learning opportunities in all aspects of System Engineering – from requirements to design, proto to verification. The intern will be exposed to life-saving Maternal Infant Care devices such as incubators, warmers, and L&D monitors, as well as Medical Device standards and regulations.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• System design of electronic and mechanical medical systems.
• Engage in the end-to-end product development cycle, including:
  • Concept
  • Architecture
  • Prototype
  • Documentation
  • Testing
  • Supply chain
  • Manufacturing
  • Service support
• Seek opportunities for cost productivity in design and product life cycle.
• Actively recommend new technology initiatives driving business and customer benefits.
• Troubleshooting and design improvements for customer/field issues.
• Seek mentoring to learn and for problem-solving.
• Maintain and develop competence required for the job.

Required Qualification:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Self-starter, energizing, results-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Ability to think clearly and critically.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Clear communication skills.
• Demonstrate boundaryless behavior.
• Team player.
