A. JOB SUMMARY:

• Build a Total Quality Management culture by:
  • Developing the capabilities of Associates on quality aspects on the job.
  • Evaluating process/equipment capabilities through validations and process monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with KORE, ISO, GMP, and local regulations by:
  • Developing and providing SOPs for plant processes.
  • Offering technical support and making decisions on quality issues to protect product integrity.
  • Addressing customer complaints/feedback.
• Establish and maintain an effective, governed, and documented system for all company processes.
• Have knowledge of ingredient and finished goods testing and advanced instruments.
• Evaluate new packaging materials and ensure fitness for use while managing related documentation.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Quality Activities:

• Ensure operations comply with new KORE requirements, regulations, and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments for plant processes to mitigate failure risks.
• Train Associates on quality monitoring aspects to embed quality into processes.
• Validate equipment and processes, monitor adherence to GMP standards, and approve equipment post-maintenance.
• Create a technical library/database with plant validation reports and other technical documents.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing instructions (SMI).
• Support problem-solving tools for root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Conduct process validations and capability studies, implementing required actions for deficiencies.
• Review completed analysis reports against KO requirements and food regulations.

Ingredient, Finished Goods, and Packaging Testing:

• Experience in analytical testing using instruments such as GC, LC, Mass Spectrometry, ICP, IC, AA, IR, FTNIR, and Microbiology.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide analysts to resolve testing-related challenges.
• Familiar with juice, ETP, and water testing.
• Proficient in ISO 17025 certifications.
• Collaborate with packaging specialists to optimize materials for performance and compliance.
• Maintain packaging information accuracy in databases like PICASSO.

Management System:

• Implement Quality requirements (KORE and ISO) and recommend improvements.
• Lead Quality and Food Safety Management System implementation and assessments.
• Support internal audits and manage programs for Integrated Management System compliance.

Plant GMP / Security Program:

• Monitor adherence to GMP standards and ensure effective security programs.
• Oversee GMP housekeeping and pest control services for compliance.

People Manager Responsibilities:

• Identify Associates’ training needs.
• Lead performance reviews and provide feedback.

COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES:

• Impact spans manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and customer complaint resolution.
• Engage with customers to address quality issues and participate in cross-audits with Corporate Quality.

ANALYSIS: Collaborate with Leadership Teams, management, and Associates to resolve quality challenges.

JUDGMENT AND DECISION-MAKING: Authority to reject materials or halt production when quality issues arise.

INNOVATION: Optimize testing processes, improve manufacturing quality, and upgrade packaging materials.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct performance reviews and manage hiring, disciplinary actions, and dismissals in collaboration with the Plant QSE Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:

• 7–10 years of experience in quality assurance or production supervision in food/beverage or pharmaceutical industries.
• Knowledge of lab testing, ISO standards, Food Safety Quality Systems, and KORE requirements.
• Strong project management, GMP experience, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and planning skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biochemistry.
