Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Project Associate I and one position of Project Assistant in the DST-funded project entitled “Scientific reinvention of ethnic food and medicine from Kerala for functional food and drug development” of Prof. Chandrabhas Narayana, under the guidance of Dr. Anish N P at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Project Associate I
Essential Qualifications:
- Good academic records with a First Class Master’s Degree in Microbiology.
- Candidate having relevant documented experience in microbial handling.
Age:
- Below 32 years as on November 1, 2024.
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Emolument: ₹ 31,000/- + 18% HRA per month.
Project Assistant
Essential Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Graduate degree or possess special skills on traditional wisdom and be well-versed with the tribal communities.
Age: Below 35 years as on November 1, 2024.
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Emolument: ₹ 18,000/- per month (consolidated).
Duration: Up to 30th April 2025 or till termination of the project, whichever
is earlier based on performance evaluation.Selection Process:
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channels.
- Last date for receiving completed applications is November 1, 2024.
- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
Applications that are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be shortlisted for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
