About the Job
Roles & Responsibilities
- Will be involved in cGMP manufacturing activity for the production of CAR-T cell therapy products.
- Isolation and enrichment of primary immune cells.
- Transduction of immune cells with vector.
- Expansion of the immune cells.
- Formulation and cryopreservation of the cell therapy product.
- Documentation required for batch production such as SOPs and batch manufacturing records.
- A strong compliance to GMP and willingness to work with flexible schedules, including late evening.
- There will be scope for process development and R&D in the future.
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis software.
Qualifications and Educational Requirement
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or relevant field.
- Bachelor’s degree holders with higher experience and PhD degree holders will also be considered.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the biotechnology industry or hospital cell therapy unit setting is required.
Desired Qualities
- Prior experience in the cell and gene therapy industry is a plus.
- Handling of culture of primary cells such as stem cells, T cells, or any other immune cells is a must.
- Experience in GMP manufacturing involved with mammalian cell culture is desired.
- Experience with gene editing processes in mammalian cells.
- Experience with cell expansion using growth factors.
- Understanding of GMP manufacturing documentation such as batch manufacturing records, preparation, and conduct of SOPs.
- Understanding of GMP quality management documentation such as change management, deviation management, etc.
- Organization and management of GMP manufacturing work in shift duties.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project goals.
- Working as part of a cohesive team.
