Walk-in Interviews for PhD Program in Biology

If a candidate has secured CSIR-UGC, DBT, ICMR JRF, or any other fellowship valid at the time of registration at IISER Mohali, they will be allowed to register for interviews.

• Reporting Time for Registration: 8:00 AM onward on May 16th, 2024
• Interview Dates: 16th to 18th May, 2024
• Venue: Academic Building-I, IISER Mohali

This Walk-in Interview is exclusively for candidates who have secured a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to pursue a PhD in Biology.

Eligibility: Candidates who have cleared a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam conducted by CSIR-UGC, DBT, or ICMR and are eligible to receive a fellowship can participate in the interview. Candidates who completed their MS/MSc/BTech/MBBS in 2022, 2023, or 2024 with 60% marks or equivalent examination are eligible to attend the Walk-in Interview.

While coming for the interview, please bring both the original and one self-attested photocopy of the following:

1. Award letter from the funding agency.
2. Date of Birth (DOB) certificate.
3. All original mark sheets/grade transcripts and certificates starting from class 10th for verification.
4. Copies of mark/grade sheets (required for all semesters/years).
5. Original government photo ID and certificate of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PD/EWS, if applicable.
6. Recent passport size photographs (2 Nos.).

The original certificates will be returned to you immediately after verification. One self-attested photocopy of each of the above-mentioned documents will be retained by the admission committee.

The Walk-in Interview for candidates will be held at IISER Mohali from May 16th to 18th, 2024, after registration. Candidates are advised to prepare to stay in Mohali for three days at their own expense.
