Scientific Officer – Cytogenetic
We are General Diagnostics International Pvt. Ltd., a leading diagnostics company specializing in providing accurate and reliable testing services. We are currently seeking a Scientific Officer – Cytogenetic to join our team in Navi Mumbai (Sanpada).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting routine laboratory tests within the Cytogenetics / FISH Laboratory for cytogenetic studies on clinical specimens-AF/CVS/PB/CB/FB.
- Perform Karyotyping by preparing Chromosome and FISH Karyotypes using ISCN nomenclature. Complete karyotyping efficiently and accurately, including the detection of chromosome subtle abnormalities and FISH abnormal signal patterns.
- Utilize scanners and imaging systems according to laboratory protocols. Possess a good working knowledge of the imaging system.
- Analyze specimens with accuracy, demonstrating the ability to detect subtle abnormalities and report findings accordingly.
- Maintain clear and neat documentation of analysis. Handle a high volume of cases with appropriate speed.
- Participate in documenting and implementing Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC)/Quality and Inventory (Ql) procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters or Bachelors in Sciences with at least 1 year of experience in Cytogenetic/FISH techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
