Senior Project Engineer/Scientist

Job Role: Senior Project Engineer/Scientist (One Position)
Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a Data and Impact analysis web portal frontend and backend database/script development. The position requires excellent
programming skills in the LINUX environment using open source resources. Familiarity with public domain dashboard tools and Application Program Interface (API) tools is essential. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of scientific data organization and representation methods. In addition, the candidate will coordinate with the data compilation team and data analytics for the development of dashboards and portals.Qualifications:
Essential:
- M. Tech. 1st class or equivalent in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Data Science/Machine Learning with very good programming/IT skills
- OR B. Tech. 1st Class in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Data Science/Machine Learning with 3 years of experience and very good programming/IT skills
- OR M. Sc. 1st Class in Computer Applications/IT/Physical Sciences/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Data Science/Machine Learning or equivalent with 3 years of experience and very good programming/IT skills
Desirable:
- Relevant work experience in the development of live software/database or web portals with multiple users
- Excellent programming skills in modern programming languages such as Python, JAVA, Node.js, PHP, etc.
- Experience in design, development, and deployment of web portals using HTML5, Javascript/Jquery/React.js, Bootstrap, CSS, etc.
- Database development/administration experience using technologies like Postgres, MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Knowledge of LINUX system administration and content management tools like Drupal, Joomla, etc. will be a plus point.
Emoluments: Senior Project Engineer/Scientist: Rs.45000/- consolidated p.m. plus 24% HRA
General Terms & Conditions:
- The selected candidates will be on contract for one year or the duration of the project, whichever is shorter.
- No hostel/housing facility will be provided.
- Applicants must mention their category (SC/ST/OBC/PH) and attach documentary proof.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Along with the application, candidates must send a complete Curriculum Vitae (CV) with the names of three referees, details of experimental expertise, and a list of publications.
