Introduction:
Council of Science & Technology, U.P. (CSTUP) is offering a remarkable opportunity for bright M.Sc. 1st and 2nd-year students to participate in the Summer Research Fellowship Program 2024-25. This program grants selected students the privilege to collaborate with esteemed Professors/Scientists from prestigious institutes across India. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of RS.25000.00 for two months and is exclusively available to students studying in Uttar Pradesh.

- Physics (Materials Science, Electronics, Astronomy, etc.)
- Biology (Botany, Zoology, Env. Science, etc.)
- Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Industrial, Medicinal, etc.)
- Agriculture (Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Entomology, etc.)
- Mathematics/Statistics
Note:- CSTUP offers summer research fellowship to encourage M.Sc. students studying basic sciences only. Fellowship will not be granted for the students pursuing M.Sc. in Nursing, Home Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Anthropology, Geography, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Psychology, Defence Studies, Food & Nutrition, Cyber Security, Nuclear Medicine Technology etc.

CSTUP-Summer Research Fellowship Program 2024-25 (CSTUP-SRFP 2024-25)
Eligibility:
- Fellowship is offered to the students studying in Post-Graduation (M.Sc., either 1st year or 2nd year) within the state of Uttar Pradesh.
- Fellowship is offered to regular students only.
- Applicants must hold B.Sc./B.S. degree at the graduation level. iv. Applicants must have passed at least one examination out of 10th, 12th & graduation from Uttar Pradesh.
Selection Criteria: CSTUP-Summer Research Fellows will be selected on the basis of merit as per the following criteria:

| 1 | 25 % of Xth percentage obtained | 80% | 20 % |
| 2 | 35 % of XIIth percentage obtained | 80% | 28 % |
| 3 | 40 % of Graduation percentage obtained |
80% | 32 % |
| Total = 80 |
50% students will be selected from U.P. Board and 50% from all other boards; therefore, there will be separate merit lists for these two categories.
If the applicant is selected and provides a consent letter/e-mail from a Professor/Scientists of the related institution/organization, they shall be given preference in the allotment of institution/organization for summer research training.
Applications will be received online on our web portal www.cst.up.gov.in from 23.12.2023 to 31.01.2024.
