NOTIFICATION NO. 08/2023 FOR WALK -IN-INTERVIEW

CSIR–IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interview on 15.06.2023 & 16.06.2023 for the following positions under various sponsored projects purely on a temporary basis.

Candidates who fulfil the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from the CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents (certificates of all educational qualifications from matric/10thonwards, Experience, DOB, latest Category/Caste Certificate etc) and appear for walk-in interview. Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification. Name of the Project – Multifunctional Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) targeted to Glioma: Theragnostic Radipharmaceutical and Multimodal imaging

Stipend – ₹. 18,000+HRA

Essential Qualifications – Science graduate with Chemistry & Biology as significant subjects and expertise in handling UV or Infrared spectrophotometers or both.

Desirable Qualifications – Expertise in the interpretation of spectrophotometric data from UV Infrared spectrophotometer and fluorimeter.

Essential Qualifications – MSc Chemistry/Biochemistry with 4 years of experience in GC-MS/MS, LC-QtofMS, LC-ICP-MS, CE-Qtofms, analytical method development and validation, metabolomics and biosimilars characterization etc (or) PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in manuscript writing, proven track record of publication in reputed international journals in analytical chemistry, data analysis through multi-variate analysis, QbD for method development, ability to work in the regulatory testing environment etc.

Post V

Name of the Post – Senior Project Associate

Name of the Project – Establishment of GLP compliant analytical facility at CSIR-IICT to augment biosimilars characterizations in India

Stipend – ₹. 42,000+HRA

Essential Qualifications – PhD in Chemistry/Life Sciences/MSc in Chemistry / Microbiology with at least 4 years of experience in any pharmaceutical industry/research organization.

Desirable Qualifications – Preference will be given to the candidates who worked in GLP-compliant analytical facilities with experience in analytical equipment handling and document preparation (SOPs/Study plan/Test reports) as per OECD principles.

Post VI

Name of the Post – Project Associate-II

Name of the Project – Bio-electrocatalytic device to enhance chemical wastewater treatment efficiency.

Stipend

  1. ₹. 35,000+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests- CSIR- UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions
  2. and ₹. 28,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify above

Essential Qualifications – MSc Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry with 2 years of research experience.

Desirable Qualifications – Waste treatment, biomethanation and scale-up operation.

Essential Qualifications – MSc/B.Tech in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology) (or) M.Pharm in Pharmacology

How to Apply

  1. The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject.
  2. The candidates who have already served CSIR-IICT or any other lab/institute of CSIR as any Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF (in contract R&D projects) / SRF(incontractR&Dprojects) / Research Associate etc., for a total period of 5 years or more are not eligible for these engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years will have a tenure up to the remaining period till the completion of 5 years.
  3. CSIR-IICT reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage.
  4. The selection will be on the basis of an interview & skill test if applicable will be conducted for suitable posts.
  5. CSIR-IICT reserves the right not to fill up a particular position if it so desires. The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of actual selection.
  6. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for that position.
  7. The engagement will be purely on a temporary basis initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the fellow as the case may be and does not entitle him/her for any permanent position in CSIR/IICT.
  8. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
  9. No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
  • The upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the date of the interview.
  • Experience shall be counted after obtaining the minimum prescribed qualification.
  • Candidates possessing essential qualifications in the required area/discipline only should apply, others are not eligible. Result awaited candidates are not eligible.

  • Answer: I have experience working with both UV and Infrared spectrophotometers. My responsibilities included calibrating the instruments, preparing samples, running tests, and analyzing the spectrophotometric data to draw conclusions about the samples being tested.
  1. As a Scientific Administrative Assistant (Post II) in the Innovative Processes & Technologies for crop protection chemicals project, how would you contribute to maintaining project records and assisting in conducting meetings?
  • Answer: I would ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and data analysis. I would assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, ensuring necessary materials and resources are available, and providing support in collating and presenting project-related information.
  1. For the position of Senior Project Associate (Post IV), describe your experience in analytical method development and validation, as well as your knowledge of metabolomics and biosimilars characterization.
  • Answer: I have extensive experience in developing and validating analytical methods using techniques such as GC-MS/MS, LC-QtofMS, and LC-ICP-MS. I am well-versed in metabolomics approaches and have successfully characterized biosimilars. I also have expertise in data analysis through multi-variate analysis and an understanding of Quality by Design (QbD) principles for method development.
  1. As a Senior Project Associate (Post VI) working on the bio-electrocatalytic device project, what is your familiarity with chemical wastewater treatment processes, and do you have any experience with biomethanation and scale-up operations?
  • Answer: I have a solid understanding of chemical wastewater treatment processes and have worked on projects involving waste treatment. While I haven’t directly worked on biomethanation and scale-up operations, I have studied and researched them extensively during my academic pursuits.
  1. For the role of Project Associate-I (Post VII) in the PAN CSIR-Cancer research program, please explain your experience and proficiency in Cell Biology techniques and Molecular Biology skills.
  • Answer: I have hands-on research experience in Cell Biology, including working with cell lines, cell culture, and various assays related to cellular processes. Additionally, I possess strong skills in Molecular Biology, such as cloning, protein expression, and protein purification. I am comfortable performing these techniques and have successfully utilized them in my previous projects.
