  1. Question: Can you briefly explain your research experience in the field of plant-pathogen interactions or molecular microbiology? Answer: I have worked extensively on studying the interactions between plants and pathogens, specifically focusing on molecular mechanisms and host-pathogen dynamics. My research has involved characterizing plant defense responses and understanding the virulence factors employed by pathogens.
  2. Question: Have you conducted any research on rice genetic transformation? Could you provide details about your work in this area? Answer: Yes, during my research experience, I have worked on rice genetic transformation. I have successfully developed transgenic rice lines with improved traits, such as disease resistance or enhanced yield. My work involved optimizing transformation protocols, analyzing transgene expression, and evaluating phenotypic changes in the transformed plants.
  3. Question: How have you contributed to SCI journals in your field? Can you highlight any notable publications? Answer: I have actively published my research findings in SCI journals. One notable publication is [Title of Publication], where I elucidated the role of a specific protein in plant defense against pathogens. This study provided novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying plant immunity.
  4. Question: Can you discuss any challenges you faced during your previous research projects and how you overcame them? Answer: During my research projects, I encountered challenges such as troubleshooting experimental techniques, obtaining reliable data, or managing time constraints. To overcome these challenges, I sought guidance from my mentors, collaborated with colleagues to exchange ideas, and persisted in troubleshooting until successful outcomes were achieved.
  5. Question: How do you envision your research contributing to the Plant-microbe Interaction Group at ICGEB, New Delhi?
