Subject: Engagement of Young Professionals (03) in the Department of Biotechnology- reg.

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) seeks to provide a unique opportunity for Young Professionals to work and get exposure to various programmes and activities of the Department. These programmes require candidates to demonstrate proven academic, credentials, professional achievement and leadership qualities.

DBT is looking for young, talented, innovative and dynamic Young Professionals, persons with a passion for development and the potential to become future leaders in their respective fields. Details of the same are given below:

Post I

Name of the position – Young Professional (Bio-Informatics)

Numbers of positions – 01

Method of recruitment – Contract Based through Open Market

Age Limit – Candidates should be below 35 years of age as of the date of the Advertisement.

Period of Contract – For a period of 02 years which can be extended up to 5 years- one year at a time

Remuneration (per month) – Rs 40,000/- (Fixed) (inclusive of Taxes)

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  1. Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Bio-Informatics/ M.Tech (Bio-Technology)
    Or
  2. M.Sc.(Life Science/Bio-Technology /Agriculture /Microbiology / Botany/ Zoology with PG Diploma/ PGPM in Machine Learning/ Health Care Analytics/ Big Data Analytics (minimum 6-month duration).

Experience – Minimum one-year Professional experience in Government organizations /Research Organizations. Ph.D. in Bio-Informatics is desirable.

Job description – Young Professionals will be required to provide high-quality inputs in the specific areas of responsibility assigned by the Division Head. This includes collection, compilation, tabulation and dissemination of various information related to ongoing research projects, Socio-Economic Impact Analysis of Research projects, providing administrative support for project-related work and organising meetings/workshops.

Name of the position – Young Professional (Intellectual Property)

Numbers of positions – 01

Method of recruitment – Contract Based through Open Market

Age Limit – Candidates should be below 35 years of age as of the date of the Advertisement.

Period of Contract – For a period of 02 years which can be extended up to 5 years- one year at a time

Remuneration (per month) – Rs 40,000/- (Fixed) (inclusive of Taxes)

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  1. M.Sc. (Life Science/ Bio-Technology/ Agriculture/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Zoology
    Or
  2. B.Tech/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Biomedical engineering/ LLB/ LLM in IPR or Diploma/ PG Diploma in IPR

Experience – Minimum 1-year experience in managing Intellectual Property (IP) related work in private/ public organization or minimum 1-year experience in public organization for project management.
