Hello candidates, if you are looking for some help regarding interview questions for the post of Junior Research Fellow at ILBS then make sure you check out all of the questions along with their answers below

  1. What motivated you to apply for this position, and what is your experience in the field of immunology?
Answer: I am motivated to apply for this position because it aligns with my research interests, and I have experience in immunology. During my M.Sc in Biotechnology, I undertook a research project in the field of immunology, which helped me gain experience in this field.
  2. Can you explain your understanding of the project title, “Designing Bispecific CAR-NK cell targeting Alpha-fetoprotein present in HCC”?
Answer: The project aims to design bispecific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) natural killer (NK) cells targeting Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) present in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The idea is to develop a therapy that can effectively target and kill cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy cells.
  3. How do you plan to approach the research project, and what methods do you plan to use?
Answer: I plan to approach the research project by first reviewing the current literature and identifying gaps in the current knowledge. I will then design experiments to address these gaps, which will involve the use of techniques such as cell culture, gene editing, and functional assays to evaluate CAR-NK cell activity.
  4. What are the potential challenges that you might face during the research project, and how do you plan to overcome them?
Answer: Some potential challenges that I might face during the research project include cell line contamination, insufficient cell numbers, and limited funding. To overcome these challenges, I plan to maintain strict sterile conditions in the lab, optimize cell culture conditions to maximize cell yield, and apply for additional funding opportunities.
  5. What are your long-term career goals, and how do you plan to achieve them?
Answer: My long-term career goal is to become an independent researcher in the field of immunology and cancer therapy. To achieve this, I plan to gain more research experience, publish high-quality research papers, attend scientific conferences to network with other researchers, and apply for research grants to fund my research projects.
