The candidates fulfilling the requirements and suitable as per the essential & desirable experience will be shortlisted for an online interview. The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of an academically enriched environment of the University of Savitribai Phule Pune Campus, Pune. NCCS invites applications for following posts on various extramural projects purely on a temporary basis.

Name of the Post: Short Term Trainee (as per SERB Scientific Social Responsibility Polley)

Name of the Project: To understand the immunosuppressive activity of secretory PD-L1 and its regulation by F-Box proteins to develop immunotherapeutic leads for Cancer

Name of the PI: Dr Manas-Santra

Project Tenure: 2 months

Age: Not more than 25 years as of the last date of application.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Interested candidates should send the completed application (The combined pdf of the application along with a copy of the self-attested degree certificate and any other relevant certificates) by email to [email protected]. The last date of receipt of the online application will be 03/01/2023.

In the email. the applicant must attach all self-attested scanned certificates in support of date of Birth, Educational Qualifications (Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary) School Certificate (10+2), Details of the Exams passed (Marksheets) and others if anywhere ever applicable. Caste Certificate, passport size photo if any.

SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce proof of their caste certificate from the appropriate authority. In addition. OBC candidates must also produce the latest non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits.

The applications will be summarily rejected in absence of these certificates or any requested information, wherever applicable. There will not be any further communication in this regard from us.

Candidates should be able to arrange for their own accommodation in Pune during the training period to ensure timely presence at the lab during regular v.orking hours. No accommodation will be provided by NCCS.

position filled up purely on a temporary basis for the limited period for the extramurally funded project of SERB. The position will automatically co-terminus on the completion of the project tenure. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment in the funding agency or in NCCS, Pune.

Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs 5000/month

Essential Qualification & Experience: Students in an undergraduate engineering or postgraduate science.

Desirable Qualification & Experience: Exposure to immunology and molecular biology in the course curriculum will be preferred.
