Eligibility Criteria:
Junior Research Fellow/Project Associate (One Post): Candidates having Master-s degree in Microbiology/ Genetics / Biotechnology / Agriculture with at least 55% (or equivalent) marks can apply.
Work:
- This work involves mutagenesis to understand the function of Microbiome components and performing in vitro and in vivo validation on plant-microbe interaction cultures. It also involves real-time gene expression and transcriptome validation. Experience in molecular biology, microbiology and in vitro assays is preferred.
- For JRF/PA-I, candidates with NET and also those who qualify as per the criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019 and SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. The NET-qualified candidates will have the opportunity to enrol for PhD in due course of time.
Duration – The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate’s performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice by either side.
Qualification – MSc / MTech (Microbiology / Genetics / Plant Molecular Biology / Agriculture / Biotechnology)
Skills – Experience in molecular biology, genomics, microbiology techniques and in vitro assays
Experience – 0 – 2 years
Salary – Rs. As per the industry norms
