Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) invite applications for the following Project Positions purely on a contractual basis for a period of one year extendable as per the requirement of PBTI:
Post I
Name of the Post: Project Associate
No. of Posts: 01
Name of the Project: Project- “Monitoring of Pesticide Residues at National Level” (MPRNL)
Age: 37 years or below
Emoluments: Rs.35000/- P.M fixed
Eligibility criteria
Qualification and Experience:
Essential:
- PhD with research in the relevant area.
OR - 1st class M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology / Food Technology / Dairy Technology OR 1st Class M.Pharma from a recognized University/Institute. At least 2 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after essential qualification.
OR - 1st class Master’s Degree in Basic / Chemical / Life / Environmental Sciences / Food Sciences from a recognized University/Institute with at least 3 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after essential qualification.
Desirable: Experience in working with national/international testing & certification laboratories/organizations. Knowledge of national/international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and standards for quality testing.
Job Requirement: The incumbent would be responsible for the analysis of food samples for contaminants including Pesticide residue.
Post II

Name of the Project: FSSAI Project on “Database generation on Indian Honey for
Quality, Safety & Authenticity parameters”
Age: 37 years or below
Emoluments: Rs.35000/- P.M fixed
Eligibility criteria
Qualification and Experience:
Essential:
- PhD with research in the relevant area.
OR - 1st class M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology / Food Technology / Dairy Technology OR 1st Class M.Pharma from a recognized University/Institute. At least 2 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after essential qualification.
OR - 1st class Master’s Degree in Basic / Chemical / Life / Environmental Sciences / Food Sciences from a recognized University/Institute with at least 3 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after essential qualification.
Desirable: Experience in working with national/international testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of national/international Laboratory Quality Management Systems/ standards for quality testing.
Job Requirement: The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per the scope of the Project and for Chemical/Biological/physical analysis of Agri/food and allied products.

- 1st class Master Degree in Basic / Chemical / Life / Environmental Sciences or / Food Sciences OR 1st Class B. Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology/Food Technology/Dairy Technology OR 1st class B. Pharma from a recognized University/Institute. At least 2 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after essential qualification.
Desirable: Experience in working with national/international testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of national/international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and standards for quality testing.

Eligibility criteria
Qualification and Experience:
Essential:
- 1st class Master’s Degree in Basic/Chemical/ Life/Environmental Sciences/Food Sciences OR 1st Class B.Tech OR equivalent in Biotechnology/Food Technology/Dairy Technology OR 1st Class B. Pharma from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Experience in working with National/International testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of National/International Laboratory Quality Management Systems and standards for quality testing.
Job Requirement: The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per the scope of the Project and chemical/ Physical analysis of Agri/food & allied products.
Post V

Name of the Project: Project for Validation of Technologies/ Methods
Age: 37 years or below
Emoluments: Rs.20000/- P.M fixed
Eligibility criteria
Qualification and Experience:
Essential:
- 1st class Master’s Degree in Basic/Chemical/ Life/Environmental Sciences/Food Sciences OR 1st Class B.Tech OR equivalent in Biotechnology/Food Technology/Dairy Technology OR 1st Class B. Pharma from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Experience in working with National/International testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of National/International Laboratory Quality Management Systems and standards for quality testing.
Job Requirement: The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per the scope of the Project and chemical/Biological/Physical analysis of Agri/food & allied products/Environmental monitoring.

on or before 07.10.2022. No fee will be payable by Schedule Caste (SC) Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates. In-service candidates shall apply through the proper channel or submit NOC at the time of the Interview. After Sending the hard Copy along with documentary evidence of qualification and experience, the Candidates are also required to send a soft copy in MS Word format of the Proforma-II through Email to PBTI’s e-mail address i.e. [email protected].
Incomplete or without fee applications will not be considered.
CGPA conversion to percentage formula of University/institute should be provided along with a photocopy of DMC/Degree.
The appointing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
