WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for engagement of Research Associate, Senior Project Associate and Project Associate -I &II

DATE OF WALK-IN-INTERVIEW – 23rd SEPTEMBER-2022

The eligible and interested candidates may appear in Walk-in-Interview on the respective date as detailed below for purely temporary engagement as Research Associate, Senior Project Associate and Project Associate -I &II under Different ongoing Projects of CSIR CIMAP, Lucknow. The eligibility criterion is as follows

Post I

Name of the Post – Senior Project Associate

No. of Posts – 01

Age Limit – 40 Years

Stipend per month – Rs. 42000/- + HRA As per the funding agency

Qualifications – Ph.D. Awarded in Agriculture/Botany.

Post II

Name of the Post – Project Assistant/Field Assistant

No. of Posts – 01

Age Limit – 50 Years

Stipend per month – Rs.15000 (fixed) pm for

Non NET only As per the funding agency

Qualifications – B.sc/B.E./B.Tech with a minimum of 55% in Agriculture/Chemistry.

Post III

Name of the Post – Senior Project Associate

Age Limit – 40 Years

Stipend per month – Rs. 42000/-pm As per the funding agency

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – M.Sc.(55% Minimum) in Botany/Biotechnology/Life Sciences, Ph.D Degree Awarded in the area of Plant Tissue Culture and Genetic Transformation.

Post IV

Name of the Post – Field Worker

Age Limit – 50 Years

Stipend per month – Rs 18000/-+HRA As per the funding agency

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – B.Sc (55% Minimum) in Science/Agriculture/Environmental Science or B.Tech Biotechnology.

Post V

Name of the Post – Project Associate-I

Age Limit – 35 Years

Stipend per month –

• Rs 31000/-+HRA for NET-qualified candidates. As per the funding agency
  OR
• Rs 25000/-+HRA for Non-NET candidates. As per the funding agency.

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – M.Sc (55% Minimum) in Microbiology /Botany/Biochemistry
/Bioinformatics.

Desirable Qualification –

*CSIR-UGC NET/GATE
*Research Experience in next-generation data analysis will be preferred.

Post VI

Name of the Post – Project Associate-I

• Rs 31000/-+HRA for NET-qualified candidates. As per the funding agency

• Rs 25000/-+HRA for Non-NET candidates. As per the funding agency.

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – M.Sc (55% Minimum) in Plant Biotechnology/Genetic and Plant Breeding/Botany/Bioinformatics.

Desirable Qualification –

*CSIR-UGC NET/GATE.
OR
*Two years of research experience in recombinant DNA Technology/Bioinformatics/Tissue culture/Molecular breeding/ Plant breeding/Plant Biotechnology.

Post VII

Name of the Post – Project Assistant

No. of Posts – 01

Age Limit – 50 Years

Stipend per month – Rs 20,000/-+HRA. As per the funding agency.

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – B.Sc (55% Minimum) in Botany/Chemistry/B.Sc in Mass Communication.

Desirable Qualification – Experience in Content Writing.

Post VIII

Name of the Post – Project Associate-I OR Project Associate-II

Age Limit -35 Years

Stipend per month –

• Rs 25000/-+HRA. As per funding agency for Non NET only.
  OR
• Rs 28000/-+HRA. As per funding agency for Non NET only.

Qualifications –

Project Associate-I

Essential Qualification – M.Sc with a minimum of 55% in Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualification – Desirable Experience in RNA isolation.

Project Associate-II

Essential Qualification – M.Sc with a minimum of 55% and also with 2 Years Experience in Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualification – Primer designing RNA isolation and bioinformatics analysis with a minimum of 2 years of Experience.

Post IX

Name of the Post – Project Associate-I

No. of Posts – 01

Age Limit – 35 Years

Stipend per month – Rs 25000/-+HRA. As per funding agency for Non-NET only.

Qualifications –

Essential Qualification – M.Sc with a minimum of 55% in Microbiology/Medical Microbiology.

Desirable Qualification – Isolation of Microorganisms.

How to Apply –

• Date and time of the interview – 23-09-2022 at 9.30 AM to 11.30 AM
• Mode of selection – Walk-In-Interview

Mode of Selection: Selection is to be done on the basis of performance in the Interview. A written test may be conducted if the candidates appear in higher Nos.

General Terms & Conditions –

1. Engagement will be initially for a period of one year and may be extended or curtailed depending upon the project requirement, the desired level of performance or conduct of the incumbent, and the availability of Funds from funding agencies as the case may be.
2. The tenure of Project Staff shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances the tenure would be allowed to exceed five years duration. The performance of the Project Staff would be reviewed periodically so that anyone not found up to the mark, could be terminated.
3. The position is only temporary and, therefore, will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim, implicit or explicit on any post in CSIR-CIMAP.
4. The upper age limit (except Sl. No. 2) as on the date of Walk-in-Interview, is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with Disabilities/ Women and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer). In the case of Sl. No. 2, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with Disabilities/ Women and OBC (Non-Creamy layer).
5. Upon completion of the tenure in one project, in case, one wants to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the process of selection by submitting a fresh application under the new project. Engagement of the Project Staff under the new project would be made only after submission of resignation and “No Demand Certificate” in the previous project.
6. Wherever possible accommodation will be provided to project staff, if accommodation is not possible, HRA will be paid as per rules. If accommodation is provided, the licence fee would be deducted as per CSIR rules.
7. The Project Staff shall be permitted to avail leave and dispensary facility, as per rules. Dispensary facility/ies will be for self only and not for family members or dependents.
8. The Institute provides canteen facilities as is being provided for regular staff members on payment of suitable charges.
9. Experience, where required, will be counted from acquiring minimum educational qualification.
10. Final semester and results awaited candidates will not be allowed to appear for Walk-in-Interview.
11. Candidates are instructed to follow necessary COVID-19 Guidelines/protocols as per the GOI Instructions.
12. No TA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
13. No request for an online interview will be entertained.
