Name of the Project – GAP-050 – Development of process for production of coconut sap (neera) sugar granules and crystals.
General Instructions –
- Age Limit for as on date of Interview – SRF/PA – 35 years for men and 40 years for women
- Application Fee: Rs.500/- (SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates are exempted from payment of fees).
- Tenure of the Project for SRF/PA: Tenure will be initially for a period of six months or till the completion of the Project Period whichever is earlier and renewal of tenure will be done every six months based on the performance.
- Selected candidates will have to work six days a week except second Saturday and
Government holidays. - The applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions in accordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc., before applying for the specific post.
- The candidates must apply only through an online application form available on the Institute website www.niftem-t.ac.in. No offline application sent directly to the Institute will be entertained.
- The candidate must upload soft copies (PDF form) of all certificates and relevant documents in support of their claim in the online application form wherever necessary. In respect of publications, the first page of publications must be uploaded, failing which such publications will not be considered.
- After successful submission of the online application, the candidates are instructed to sign the hard copy of the downloaded application. The signed application form, self-attested copies of supporting documents and copy of e-receipt generated in SBI collect are to be scanned as a single PDF file. The scanned PDF file has to be sent to the mail id: [email protected] within THREE days from the last date of online submission.
- The Institute reserves the right to Revise / Reschedule / Cancel / Suspend/withdraw the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the Institute shall be final and no appeal in this regard shall be entertained. The Institute reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason.
- Selection process:
SRF/PA
♦ Eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for a written examination followed by an interview.
♦ The written examination followed by an interview will be conducted in person only at NIFTEM – Thanjavur main campus. - The shortlisted candidates will also be informed through e-mail about the date & time of the written exam & interview.
- All communications with the candidate shall be through email. If required, NIFTEM-Thanjavur may seek additional/other documents after this date also.
Important Dates
- The commencement of the online application is on 17th August 2022 at 10:00 AM (IST).
- The last date for submission of online applications is 06th September 2022 at 6.00 PM (IST).

Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 31,000/- plus applicable HRA
Essential Qualifications –
- M.Tech / M.Sc. / Ph.D. degree (4 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in Food Process Engineering/ Food Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Food Technology/ Agricultural
Processing/ Food and Agricultural Processing/ Processing and Food Engineering/Food Science/ Food Science and Technology/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Food and Nutrition/ Food Chemistry/ Food Technology and Management/ Food Process Engineering and Management/ Food Plant Operations and Management/ Food Safety and Quality Management/ Food Supply Chain Management/ Post Harvest Technology/ Food Process Technology/ Food Safety and Quality Assurance/ Biotechnology/ Nanotechnology/ Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry / Biochemistry.
(or) - M.Sc. degree (3 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in the above disciplines with NET and 2 years of research experience (or) Ph.D. in the above disciplines.
For Post II
Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 25,000/- plus applicable HRA
Essential Qualifications – M.Tech degree (4 years of UG + 2 years of PG) in Food Process Engineering/ Food Science and Technology/ Chemical Engineering.
For Post III
Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 20,000/- (Consolidated) plus applicable HRA
Essential Qualifications –
- B. Tech in Food Process Engineering/ Food Science & Technology or B.Sc., in Food Science and Nutrition/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology.
(or) - M.Sc. in any of the above disciplines.
For Post IV
Monthly Remuneration – Rs.12,000/- plus HRA as applicable
Essential Qualifications – B.Tech degree in Food Process Engineering/ Food Science
and Technology/ Chemical Engineering.
