NIMHANS is conducting Walk-in-Selection for the Following posts in the Government of Karnataka-funded project entitled “Karnataka Brain Health Initiative (Ka-BHI)” under Dr. Suvarna Alladi, Professor and Head of Neurology and Principal Investigator and Dr Girish N, Professor of Epidemiology, Co-Principal Investigator.
Post I

The desirous candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned above are advised to appear for WALK-IN-SELECTION with their Resume and Testimonials in original, as well as set of photocopies at the Exam hall, adjacent to Academic & Evaluation Section, 4th Floor, NRC Building, NIMHANS, BENGALURU – 560 029.
Note:
- The candidates are required to register their names between half an hour before the commencement of the written and skill test.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written/skill test.
For Post I
Emoluments – Rs.65,000/- per month ( consolidated)
Educational Qualifications –
- First class in Master of any field of life sciences/ public health/ Sociology/Rural Development /Economics/Human Resource/Social Work/Psychology or equivalent. With at least 3 years of experience in project management/administration, budget plans, maintenance of human resources under the project
Desirable Experience – Experience in public health-related fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities –
- Undertake overall project activities, coordinate and liaison between the PHCs/ CHCs/ NIMHANS.
- Conduct training programme, Manage and liaison with doctors of PHCs, with stakeholders, and work with the team for overall completion of project activities.
- Preparation of project-related budget plans, maintenance of human resources under the project, data management, coordination with the project team for completion of works and undertaking overall project administration.
For Post II
Emoluments – Rs.35,000/- per month ( consolidated)
Educational Qualifications –
- First class, Master in any field of life sciences/ public health/ Sociology/Rural Development/Economics/Human Resource/Social Work/Psychology or equivalent. The applicant should be conversant in writing and speaking the Kannada language
Desirable Experience – Experience in patient care activities. Experience in patient care activities, and experience in the public health field in Kolar/ Chikkaballapur/ Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities –
- Involved in coordinating BHI activities between the respective.
- PHCs/ nodal centres and NIMHANS, coordinating case studies,
- Patient care at PHCs/ nodal centres and NIMHANS. Scheduling, documenting and reporting daily BHI activities within the assigned districts. documentation of daily activities on a dynamic basis.
For Post III
Emoluments – Rs.45,000/- per month ( consolidated)
Educational Qualifications –
- First class, Master in any field of life sciences/ public health/ Sociology/Rural Development / Economics/Human Resource/Social Work/Psychology or equivalent. With at least one paper published as an author/co-author. Knowledge of SPSS
Desirable Experience – Knowledge of qualitative research, literature review, and systematic reviews/ meta-analysis.
Key Responsibilities –
- Writing scientific papers, data analysis, and data management.
- Will be involved in undertaking systematic reviews/ meta-analysis.
For Post IV
Emoluments – Rs.35,000/- per month ( consolidated)
Educational Qualifications –
- First class, Master in any field of life sciences/ public health/ Sociology/Rural Development/Economics/Human Resource/Social Work/Psychology or equivalent.
Desirable Experience – Experience in coordinating with state health departments. Knowledge of National Health Programs.
Key Responsibilities –
- Liaising with state and national health departments for patients included in BHI.
- Documentation and reporting of project activities on a dynamic basis.
