Inviting applications for Project Position

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Project Scientist-I and one Project Associate-I in the DBT project entitled “Plant Genomics, Gene Regulatory Network and Novel RNA Molecules and NNP Project: Network Project on Crop Bioinformatics”, by Dr Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR. The details of the positions are as under –

How to Apply –
The above positions are completely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The emoluments for the above positions are as sanctioned
in the project and as per DST/DBT norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.Eligible candidates may apply directly through the links mentioned above against the respective positions. The soft copy of the self-attested copies of the mark sheets, certificates, (10th standard onwards) and proof of research experience/publications should be attached with the application. The last date of application is on or before 15 days after the release of the advertisement on the NIPGR website. The interview link will only be sent to shortlisted candidates.
The interview will be through hybrid mode. However, a personal interview will be preferred. For those who opt for a virtual interview, a web link with the date and time of the online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates. Incomplete application and lack of supporting educational/experience certificates will be rejected. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.

Emoluments – Rs. 56000/- plus HRA per month.
Qualification – Candidates having M.Tech (Engineering or Technology) or PhD (awarded) degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Plant Molecular Biology or any other related field and as mentioned in DST office memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are eligible to apply. The candidate should have an excellent academic record (with a minimum of 60% marks throughout their education) and research experience. At least one first-authored publication in a peer-reviewed international journal is desirable. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in the field of Bioinformatics & genomics. Emoluments – Rs. 31000/- plus HRA per month.
Qualification – Candidates having M.Sc./M. Tech degree (with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from class 10th onwards) in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Botany/Computer Sciences or any other branch of life science and as mentioned in DST office memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are eligible to apply.
