Employment Notice for Walk-In-interview

Applications are invited from ICAR-National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources, Hebbal, Bangalore, for recruitment of a Senior Research Fellow (1 No) on purely temporary basis to work on the ICAR-CRP project entitled “Genomics – Insect Genomics”

The mode of the interview has been decided both Online & Walk-in by strictly following COVID Guidelines. The candidates must provide their option as mentioned in the application form, to choose between an online/walk-in-mode of Interview on 16.6.2022.

The candidates appearing for an interview online must submit a self-attested scanned copy of the following documents on the e-mail address [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] on or before 13-06-2022 by 5:00 PM.

Kindly mention the Advertisement Number necessarily in the subject body of the e-mail for application for the post of Senior Research Fellow. The applications received after 13-06-2022 at 5:00 PM will not

be considered for further process.

The documents mentioned below must be compiled together in a single pdf as strictly in the sequence mentioned below.

Those candidates who fail to upload the documents that suffice the minimum eligibility criteria for the posts applied for, on or before the due date & time, their candidature is liable to be cancelled. Only candidates having essential qualifications would be considered for the interview.

Incomplete applications without requisite documents in any form will be summarily rejected.

Name of the Project – “Genomics – Insect Genomics”

Emoluments (Fixed) per month – Rs. 31,000/- per month consolidated plus 24 percent HRA. The incumbent will not be eligible for any other allowances.

Essential Qualification– M.Sc. in Agrl. Biotechnology/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or any other relevant subject under life sciences. Those with 3 years of bachelor’s degree must have NET/GATE qualification or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification – Work experience in analysis and annotation of whole genome and transcriptome data, various bioinformatics tools, gene expression analysis, and genome editing evidenced in the form of publications.

Terms & Conditions 

1. Depending upon the number of applications received, the process of shortlisting the candidates may be done. The list of shortlisted candidates, if applicable, will be uploaded on the website or communicated personally through the furnished e-mail ids by the candidates. If in case, the shortlisting is not conducted, all the complete applications that fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for the posts applied for, received on or before the due date, shall only be considered for interview. Candidates are therefore advised to keep a check on the website for updates regarding the vacancy.
2. For an online interview, the link will be sent to the e-mail ID of the shortlisted candidate, as mentioned in the application form.
3. For walk-in-interview, the candidate must bring the duly filled application form along with relevant documents and certificates.
4. All the candidates must be present at least 30 minutes before the reporting time of the interview to be acclimatized with the interview protocol. Institute will not be responsible for any internet/connectivity issues.
5. No TA/DA would be given for appearing in the interview.
6. The selected candidates will be required to produce original documents for verification at
   the time of joining.
7. The positions are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and initially offered for one year or till project duration whichever is earlier. However, the positions can be terminated within one months not owing to any change in circumstances. The person selected will have no right
   to claim employment or engagement in ICAR at the end of the contract period.
8. Concealing of facts/canvassing shall lead to disqualification of the candidature.
9. The Competent Authority/Director of the Institute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
10. The decision of the Competent Authority/Director of the Institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
11. In case of any disputes, it will be resolved within the jurisdiction of Bengaluru Court only
12. Candidates are advised to keep checking the Institute website on a regular basis for any kind of further information regarding the interview.
13. The date of the online interview is 16.06.2022. For those who choose for walk-in-mode shall report at the conference hall ofTCAR-NBAIR on the same day at 09:30 am.
14. Any other clarifications can be bad on the date of interview.
15. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding in all respects.
