General Terms & Conditions –
All the positions will be filled as per the CSIR OM dated March 09, 2021 and August 13, 2020.
The applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by our scientists according to the current requirement and the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. The duration of the post also depends on the fund available in a particular project and its validity.
Reservation and Age relaxation as per CSIR/Govt. of India guidelines.
Tenure may be extendable up to project duration. The engagement which is on a contract basis in respect of all above positions will confer no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/ or explicitly for their continuation beyond tenure/ absorption/ regularization in CSIR-IGIB. The contract may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side.
Candidates should note that non-fulfilment of the eligibility criterion will result in the cancellation of candidature at any stage.
Those candidates who are still pursuing M.Sc./B.Tech/PhD or any qualification for the above post(s) on the last date of application will not be considered and age will be calculated on the last date of receiving applications.

No application would be entertained with “result awaited” status or after the due date.
A list of shortlisted, selected candidate(s) and candidate(s) kept in the panel will be put up on the CSIR-IGIB website. Panel student(s) will be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the panel candidate meets his/her requirement for their project, they will be called; otherwise, a new advertisement will be put up.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be as per guidelines of the CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have an option to give a reply in Hindi.

There would be no automatic shifting of project staff from one project to another. On completion of the tenure in one project, if one wants to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the process of selection by submitting a fresh application. An appointment under the new project would be made only after submission of the ‘No Dues Certificate’ in the previous project and submission of resignation from the previous project.
Note: The shortlisted candidates have to keep ready with them a valid photo ID card, an updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self-attested photocopies for verification.
For Post I
Essential Qualifications – (i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
and
(ii) Four years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and
services OR
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a
recognized University or equivalent
Desirable – Experience in the complete workflow of genome editing experiments and
handling patient samples and Experience in Sanger sequencing and analysis.
For Post II
Essential Qualifications –
(i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
and
(ii) Four years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and
services OR
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a
recognized University or equivalent
Desirable – Experience and knowledge in science outreach and dissemination, web design and basic programming skills.
For Post III
Essential Qualifications – Masters Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or
bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable – Wet lab experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, protein purification
OR
Experience with deep sequencing workflow and knowledge in programming and bioinformatics analysis of deep sequencing datasets
For Post IV
Essential Qualifications – (i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Post V
Essential Qualifications – Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering /Technology/ Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable – Experience in cell/ molecular /computational biology.
For Post VI
Essential Qualifications – (i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Post VII
Essential Qualifications – (i) Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
and
(ii) minimum 2 years of research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutes or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
For Post VIII
Essential Qualifications – (i) Master’s Degree in Biotechnology or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Post IX
Essential Qualifications – M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable – Experience in Molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced sampling techniques and trajectory analysis and QM/MM methods of proteins and DNA.
For Post X
Essential Qualifications – M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of two years of research experience.
Desirable – Experience in Molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced sampling
techniques and trajectory analysis and QM/MM methods of proteins and DNA.
