ADVERTISEMENT FOR WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR THE POSITION OF

01 JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND 02 PROJECT ASSISTANTS

This Institute intent to conduct a walk-in-interview to select candidates for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and two posts of Project Assistant (PA) on 26.11.2021(Friday) at 11.00 AM at Central Tasar Research &Training Institute, Nagri, Ranchi. The desirous candidates having requisite qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may come for appearing in walk-in-interview with filled application on prescribed format (available in http://www.ctrtiranchi.co.in) and all the certificates in original in support of their qualification (mark sheet, NET/GATE etc.) and experience. The candidates not fulfilling the eligibility criteria would not be considered for attending interviews.

Post I

Name of the Post – Project Assistant

No. of Posts – 01

Project Title – Study on Existence of tropical Tasar Silkworm Ecoraces and their

subsist places with the help of Geospatial technology

Duration – 01 years 03 months or end of the project whichever is earliest.

Age Limit – Upper age limit shall be 25 years as of the date of the interview, which is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates as per rules.

Post II

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

No. of Posts – 01

Project Title – Evaluation of identified hybrids of Terminalia arjuna x T. tomentosa and drought tolerant accessions of T. arjuna for their suitability in different tropical tasar silkworm rearing regions.

Duration – 05 years or end of the project whichever is earliest.

Age Limit – Upper age limit shall be 28 years as of the date of the interview, which is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates as per rules.

Post III

Name of the Post – Project Assistant

No. of Posts – 01

Project Title – Evaluation of identified hybrids of Terminalia arjuna x T. tomentosa and drought tolerant accessions of T. arjuna for their suitability in different tropical tasar silkworm rearing regions.

Duration – 05 years or end of the project whichever is earliest.

Age Limit – Upper age limit shall be 25 years as of the date of the interview, which is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged candidates as per rules.

How to Apply –

1. Only Indian national are eligible to apply.
2. This is purely a temporary position and co-terminus with the project or may be terminated at any time if performance is not satisfactory. There is no provision of re-engagement after the termination of the project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the fellowship.
3. The upper age for JRF will be relaxed by the undersigned if the suitable candidate will not be found during the Walk-in interview.
4. The candidate is expected to join immediately if selected.
5. No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the walk-in-interview.
6. Candidates are requested to carry all original relevant documents/certificates along with a set of attested photocopies, photographs and duly fill in the application form on the date of the interview.
7. Report from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM on the date of walk-in-interview.
8. The decision of the Director, CTR& Tl, Ranchi will be final and binding in all aspects.
9. Other relevant CSB, guidelines and GOI rules will be followed.
10. The interview will be conducted as per the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Govt. of India and candidates are requested to take all the necessary precautions by using face masks and hand sanitiser. All candidates are subject to thermal screening and any candidate with symptoms like cough, cold, fever etc. and those without face masks will not be allowed for interview. Arogya Setu App on mobile with “Green Status” is compulsory.

For Post I

Fellowship (Consolidated) –

1. Rs. 12,000/-PM (Graduation or above)(or)
2. Rs. 15,000/- PM (Graduation or PGDS / Diploma in Textiles).

Essential Qualifications – Graduation in Forestry/Forest Science/Environmental Science/Ecology & Environmental Science/ Agriculture/ Zoology/ Botany/ Entomology/ Geography/Applied Geography/ Remote Sensing & GISI Geoinformatics or equivalent with 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications – A candidate with practical knowledge of field sampling/ ecological data collection/ handling RS & GIS software will be preferred.

For Post II

Fellowship (Consolidated) –

I & II years –

• Rs. 15,000/-PM + 18% HRA (w/o NET/GATE) (or)
• Rs. 20,000/- PM+ 18% HRA (w/ NET/GATE)

III, IV & V years –

• Rs. 17,500/- PM+ 18% HRA (w/o NET/GATE) (or)
• Rs. 22,500/- PM + 18% HRA (w/ NET/GATE)

Essential Qualifications – Post-Graduation in Agriculture/Botany/Life Sciences/ Forestry/  Forest Science/ Environmental/ Science/ or equivalent with 55 % marks.

Desirable Qualifications – A candidate with practical knowledge of evaluating plant genotypes/ varieties based on phenotypic (morpho-anatomical, physio-biochemical) and genotypic (molecular markers) data will be preferred.

For Post III

Fellowship (Consolidated) –

1. Rs. 12,000/-PM (Graduation or above)(or)
2. Rs. 15,000/- PM (Graduation or PGDS / Diploma in Textiles).

Essential Qualifications – Graduation in Agriculture/Botany/Life Sciences/ Forestry/  Forest Science/ Environmental/ Science/ or equivalent with 55 % marks.

Desirable Qualifications – A candidate with practical knowledge of nursery maintenance,  collection of phenotypic data from nursery and field grown plants, data entry, processing and analysis of data will be preferred.
