How to Apply:

The interested and eligible candidates must bring a copy of their bio-data along with a recent passport size photograph, self attested copies of all educational ce1tificates and relevant documents for submission to the office of the Group Coordinator (Research), P.O. New Forest, FRI, Dehradun. No separate letter will be issued for attending the interview and No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview. Candidates are requested to report for registration as per the Interview date i.e 08.09.2021 and 09.09.2021 at 09.00 A.M. in the Board Room of FRI Dehradun.

Tenure: Tenure will be initially for one year or up to the project completion period whichever is earlier and may be extended as per ICFRE rules.

Age: Upper age limit for JPF/JRF is 28 years as of 01/06/2021, which is relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC.

General Condition: Award of the fellowship is governed by the lndic1n Council or Forestry Research & Education, Dehradun rules and don’t guarantee subsequent employment in any Institute under the Council.

For Post I

Fellowship amount: 20000/- (Twenty Thousand Only)

Essential Qualifications: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry/Agriculture/Botany/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Science.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience on Plant Taxonomy/ Phenology Biodiversity/ Carbon stock/ Forest soils/ Ecology/ Climate Change.

For Post II

Fellowship amount: 31000/- (Thirty One Thousand Only)

Essential Qualifications: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry with NET Qualified/ First
Class M.Sc. in Agroforestry with NET Qualified / First Class M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics with NET Qualified / First Class M.Sc. in Environmental Science with NET Qualified / First Class M.Sc. in Environmental Management with NET Qualified / First Class MSc in Botany with NET Qualified.

Desirable:

  • Capable of extensive touring for survey in the forest fringe village area.
  • One research paper published from original research work.
  • Knowledge of MSc Office and computer Applications.
  • Note: Preference would be given to candidates having experience in the relevant field.

For Post III

Fellowship amount: 20000/- (Twenty Thousand Only)

Essential Qualifications: First Class M.Sc. in Forestry / First Class M.Sc. in Botany.


For Post IV

Fellowship amount: 20000/- (Twenty Thousand Only)

Essential Qualifications: First Class M.Sc. In (Agriculture) with a specialization In
Genetics & Plant Breeding Or First Class M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Genetics
Or First Class M.Sc. in Forestry with specialization in Tree Improvement and Breeding.

Desirable:

  • Experience in nursery rnising and establishment of progeny trials of forest tree species.
  • Applicants should be willing to travel and stay in difficult terrains and for off places to complete field observations and collection of samples.
