HIMACHAL PRADESH ZOOS AND CONSERVATION BREEDING SOCIETY
Invites application for the post of Assistant Zoo Biologist in the Himachal Pradesh Zoo and Conservation Breeding Society (HPZCBS) on an annual contract basis, initially for a period of one year. Age Limit: Below 35 yrs. as on 01-01-2021.
Qualification: Masters degree in Life Sciences/Zoology/Wildlife from a recognized institute/university.
Experience: A minimum of one year experience of working in Zoo setup or Wildlife
research/management. Preference will be given to those having more than three years
of experience.
Desirable experience/qualifications: Experience in Wildlife conservation, ecology and
habitat management.
Terms of reference:
- Maintaining studbooks and preparing population Management Plans for Conservation Breeding Programmes.
- Assist in scientific management of Conservation Breeding Programmes.
- Carry out Enclosure Enrichments
- Formulation of a diet based on ecological requirements and modern Zoo standards using nutritional analysis software.
- Assisting in designing new enclosures and re-designing wherever needed.
- Facilitate animal exchange programme.
- Any other job assigned by CEO, HPZCBS related to Zoo management 2nd Conservation.
- Breeding Programmes.
Remuneration for the above post is Rs. 16,500/- Per month. TA/DA as per norms of Himachal Pradesh Government for official touring. Accommodation will not be provided by Himachal Pradesh Zoos and Conservator Society.
