Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following Project position.

Name of the Post: Research Associate-I

No. of Posts: 01

Age Limit: The candidate should be below 35 years from the last date of application. Age relaxation will be given for five years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/women/ PH and three years in the case of OBC candidates.

Duration: The position will terminate by 31.03.2022. Depending on the satisfactory performance of the candidate and the availability of funds the position may be extended for six more months.

Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an online interview procedure.

Essential Qualification:

PhD in any branch of Biological Sciences with at least one first/2nd author paper. Candidates who have worked in cancer biology including haematological malignancies, as evidenced from their publication(s) will be given priority. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply. They should provide evidence that they have submitted their thesis. For such candidates, the fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends their PhD thesis and are awarded the degree.
