Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following Project position.

Name of the Post: Project Associate-II / Computational Biologist

Project Title: SARS-CoV-2 in India: Indian SARS-CoV-2 genome consortium (INSACOG)

Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 32 years as of 12.07.2021. Age relaxation will certainly be given to the candidates based on Govt. of India guidelines.

Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA at 16 percent

Essential Qualification:

• Candidates having M.Sc./ B.Tech./ M. Tech or equal qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology, Microbiology etc.) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for OBC/ST/SC) and also having 02 years of research experience in analyzing NGS datasets. Knowledge of programming in Linux, Python/ R is a must.
• Candidates need to have qualified nationwide level examinations such as NET/GATE/GPAT.
