Applications are welcomed from suitable applicants for filling the purely temporary positions of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the scheme of “Short-Term Research Fellowship”, NIPGR under the supervision of Dr Saloni Mathur, Scientist, NIPGR. Emoluments will be at the same level with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and also NIPGR fellowship standards.

How to Apply:
The position is totally short-term as well as is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will certainly be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the applicant’s performance as well as discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above post depending upon the qualifications as well as experience of the applicants. Reservation of post shall be according to Government of India standards. The appointment may be terminated
at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any type of regular position of NIPGR.Eligible candidates might apply by sending out softcopy through e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest along with self-attested softcopies of the mark-sheets, certificates, (from class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications. The mail should contain the application format, given below in MS Word only. A web link with the date and time of the online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted applicants. Essential Qualification: Candidates selected via National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum Number SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated January 30, 2019, as well as having M.Sc./ M.Tech degree or equivalent in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any other associated area with at least 2 years post-master’s research experience are eligible to appear in the interview. Only those applicants having experience in the area of miRNAs, abiotic stress response and tomato transformation with publications in peer-reviewed journals need to apply.
Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.
