Project Title: “Neurosteroids and Mood Disorders: Investigating the Role of Glucocorticoid System in Modulating the Effects of Finasteride”

Name of the Co-PI: Dr B.S.Shankaranarayana Rao
Duration of the post: 3 years. The initial appointment will certainly be made for a period of one year, which will certainly be extendable each year for 3 years or till the completion of the project relying on the performance of the applicant.
Maximum Age limit: 28 Years (Age relaxation will certainly be given for exceptionally
meritorious applicants).

Research Experience: 1-2 years of Research experience in Neurophysiology /
Neuroscience / Neuropsychopharmacology.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in evaluation of behaviours in rodents, ex-vivo
electrophysiology, pharmacological assessment, stereotactic surgery in rodents, neurohistology.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- plus 24 percent HRA p.m.
