Project Title: Assessment and Evaluation of Therapeutic Potential of Natural Compounds of selected Marine Bioresources under the “Marine Bioresource and Biotechnology Network Programme”

Essential Qualification:
- Position 1 (Marine Biotechnology): PhD in any branch of Plant Science. Research experience in phycology is preferred. The project entails the identification of alga species, and subsequently extraction, purification, and characterization of compounds from lower plants. The candidate having experience in using TLC as well as HPLC work
experience will certainly be given preference. The candidate with a first author paper in peer-reviewed reputed journals (Pubmed listed) in the above-mentioned area will certainly be favoured. - Position 2 (Drug Screening): PhD in any kind of branch of Life Science. Experience in cell culture and molecular biology work is required. Research experience in Cell Biology or Cancer Biology or Infectious diseases will be preferred. The candidate with at least 2 first-author paper in peer-reviewed reputed journals (Pubmed listed) will certainly be preferred.
