Qualification & Experience: M. Sc. or M. Technology. in Biotechnology or Biophysics. Candidate must have at least 4 years’ prior experience working with single-channel
electrophysiology of ion channels

in planar bilayer membranes. Additionally, the candidate needs to have prior experience in the complete biophysical characterization of the folding pathway of membrane proteins using ultrafast spectroscopy. The candidate needs to provide evidence for this experience in the form of research publications in specialized journals from Cell Press, ASBMB, Elsevier, or Springer, as well as presentations (oral and also poster) in international conferences.

Job description: Single as well as multi-channel electrophysiology measurements of the human mitochondrial VDAC and human mitochondrial Tom40 channels. In vivo characterization of VDAC and also Tom40 in mitochondrial membranes.

Salary: Rs. 35000 per month, based upon qualification and also prevailing DBT/CSIR norms.
