Name of the Project: “ASSESSMENT OF AMPHIBIAN DIVERSITY OF CENTRAL INDIA AND IDENTIFICATION OF CRYPTIC SPECIES USING INTEGRATIVE TAXONOMICAPPROACH ”

Age limitation: 30 yrs. on the date of the interview. The age limitation may be relaxed approximately 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ women (as per GoI guidelines).

Duration: 8 months

Tenure: The project is purely on a temporary basis and also will certainly be terminated on the conclusion of the assignment.

The qualified applicants will be permitted the interview on 25.01.2021, to be held at ZSI Office, Central Zone Regional Center, Jabalpur-482002, Madhya Pradesh from 11:00 am onwards.

  1. The Application can be downloaded from the ZSI web site www.zsi.gov.in.
  2. No TA/DA will certainly be paid to the applicants for appearing the interview.
  3. Incomplete application forms/applications with misrepresented facts will be summarily
    rejected.
  4. Applicants are needed to register their details and verify their original certificates from.
    10:00 -10:30 AM on the day of interview at Zoological Survey of India, Central Zone Regional Center, Jabalpur-482002, Madhya Pradesh by producing all original documents at the time of registration.
  5. The selected candidate needs to join immediately or at brief notice.
  6. Director, Zoological Survey of India reserves the right to reject the candidature for any type of unforeseen reason and his decision is final in selecting the applicant.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- plus 16 percent HRA (NET/GATE qualified) monthly. In case of Non-NET qualified, a fellowship of Rs.16000/- plus 16 percent HRA monthly will certainly be provided.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Zoology/ Wildlife as well as Biodiversity Conservation/ Environmental Science/ any kind of branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in M.Sc. from a recognized Indian university.

Desirable Qualification: Highly motivated candidates having experience in taxonomy/ ecological studies of amphibians with basic knowledge on DNA isolation and photography are required for the post. The candidate must be physically fit to work in the field.
