Application and Selection Process for NABI Job:
- All interested candidates may appear for Walk-In-Interview at National Agri-Food
Biotechnology Institute located at Knowledge city, Sector-81, Mohali- 140306,
Punjab on 08th January 2021 (Friday) at 09:00 AM along-with the duly filled application form available on the website www.nabi.res.in. - Incomplete application form and also applications that are not in proper format might be summarily rejected.
- The applications should be submitted strictly according to the prescribed format that can be downloaded from the NABI web site.
- Applicants making an application for more than one position can give their preference in the same application by ticking multiple positions. No need to submit a separate application for every position.
- Candidates should make sure that the info mentioned in the application form is accurate.
Once the application is submitted no additional request regarding any changes/ information in the application will be considered. - The duly filled application should be submitted at the time of registration at NABI.
from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM on 08th January 2021 (Friday). - The candidates need to ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
- All the applicants are asked to appear for the interview with complete CV, thesis/project report, experience certifications, publications and original degree certificates as well as transcripts.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

For Post I
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job:
PhD/MD/MS/ MDS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or having 3 years of research,.
teaching and also design and development experience after MVSc/ M.Pharm/ ME/M. Technology with at the very least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal. (Eligibility criteria as DST OM No.SR/ S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated 30.01.2019.
Desirable Experience: Experience in plant or agricultural biotechnology, plant tissue culture, rice or any other crop plant transformation, genome editing, genomics/bioinformatics.
Responsibilities: Maintaining fungal cultures, Genome editing, tissue culture, transformation, molecular biology.
Emoluments: Rs. 47000/- monthly plus 8% HRA. (As per DST OM No. SR/s9/Z -08/ 2018 dated 30.01.2019).
For Post II
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job:
Postgraduate degree in Basic Science Or Graduate/Post Grad in a professional course.
chosen with a process described with any among the following:
a) Scholars are chosen with National Eligibility Tests-CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and also GATE.
b) The selection process with National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and also their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Experience: Experience in plant or agricultural biotechnology, plant tissue culture, rice or any other crop plant transformation, genome editing, genomics/bioinformatics.
Responsibilities: Maintaining fungal cultures, Genome editing, tissue culture, transformation, molecular biology.
Emoluments: Rs.31000/- monthly plus 8% HRA for first & 2nd Year as well as from 3rd Year onwards Rs 35,000 monthly plus 8% HRA.
For Post III
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job: Postgraduate degree in Science/ Microbiology/ Statistics/ Biotechnology with minimal 55% marks.
Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- per month plus HRA as applicable at Mohali.
