National Biodiversity Authority, established in 2003 to implement the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, is a statutory body to perform regulatory and also advisory functions for Government of India on concerns of conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of its components as well as the realization of fair as well as equitable sharing of benefits arising out of making use of biological resources.
In order to aid the NBA, on-line applications are welcomed from the citizens in India for the following positions totally on a short-term basis.
Post I
Name of the Post: Young Professional-II (Scientific)
No. of Posts: 4*
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years of age.
Post II
Name of the Post: Young Professional-III (Scientific)
No. of Posts: 5*
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45
years of age.*This number may increase/decrease at the time of engagement based on the requirement.
Mode of selection:
Online exam through service provider engaged by the NBA.
Online exam via service provider engaged by the NBA.
The online examination will certainly comprise of:
- Multiple choice questions.
- Short essay of around 250 words on a given topic
- Followed by interview.
The date of online exam will certainly be intimated to the eligible applicant via e-mail/SMS.

Emoluments: 45,000/-
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (Biotechnology) with 5 years’ experience (or) Master’s degree in Life Science like Botany, Zoology / Biotechnology/ Forestry / Agriculture / Horticulture/ Microbiology / Bioinformatics from a recognized University / Institution with 4 years’ experience in the relevant field.
For Post II
Emoluments: 55,000/-
Essential Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Life Science like Botany, Zoology / Biotechnology/ Forestry / Agriculture / Horticulture/ Microbiology / Bioinformatics from a
recognized University / Institution with 4 years’ or MPhil degree in Life Science
/ Forestry / Biotechnology / Agriculture / Horticulture/ Microbiology / Bioinformatics with 6 years of experience in the relevant field.
