Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of Post-Doctoral Translation Scientist.
Eligibility Criteria
- 0–2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience
- PhD in:
- Agriculture
- Plant Sciences
- Associated fields
Additional Requirements
- Strong track record of publications and/or patents
- Exceptional candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis may also be considered
- Candidates with national-level fellowship qualifications such as the following will be preferred:
- CSIR-JRF
- UGC-JRF
- GATE
- DBT-JRF
- ICMR-JRF
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of:
- Intellectual Property (IP) management
- Productisation
- Commercialisation
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and execute translational research protocols for Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA) projects
- Conduct laboratory experiments, field trials, and validation studies
- Collect, analyse, and maintain accurate experimental data records
- Conduct literature reviews related to project requirements
- Participate in:
- Project meetings
- Seminars
- Laboratory meetings
- Other laboratory activities
- Maintain confidentiality related to project workflows
- Prepare:
- Grant applications
- Project proposals
- Progress reports
- Presentations
- Documentation for reporting authorities
- Stay updated with advancements in:
- Agricultural sciences
- Regulatory guidelines
- Industry trends
- Collaborate with teams working on existing DIA projects and other members at C-CAMP
- Knowledge of agricultural regulatory frameworks such as pesticide/biopesticide regulations and GMO guidelines is preferred
- Travel occasionally as required by projects
- Undertake training in additional techniques and train team members accordingly
Tenure
- Contract position initially for one year
- Extendable based on performance evaluation
