Name of the Project: ‘Mechanisms of Retinal Degeneration in Retinitis Pigmentosa Type 12: Role of the crumbs-homology proteins-1 and -2’

Duration: The post is co-terminus with the project and also the chosen candidate will certainly be appointed on a purely short-term basis initially for a duration of one year which will be renewed, based upon satisfactory performance, for a maximum period of 3 years.

Income: Rs. 31,000 plus 24% HRA per month.

Essential Qualifications & Experience: The applicant needs to have an M.Sc degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent as well as must-have qualified UGC-CSIR, UGC-NET (consisting of lectureship), GATE OR a national level examination conducted by central government departments/institutions/agencies such as DBT, DST, ICMR, MHRD, IISc, IIT, and IISER. Additionally, the applicant must have one year of experience of working in a life science laboratory.

Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having previous experience in cloning, protein expression and also purification; mammalian cell culture, bacterial culture and fluorescence microscopy are highly encouraged to apply.
