Project Name: “Non-chemical management of stored-grain moths using flexible light-trap”

Likely Date of Project Completion: September 2023 (03 years)

Duration: The appointments will be totally short-term under contractual as well as co-terminus basis, following the prescribed procedure for ‘6 months’ or till the completion date of the project. The appointments may be ended at any time without notice or assigning any reason thereof.

After screening the applications, only shortlisted applicants based upon their academic, research experience will be informed by email/mobile and displayed on the ICAR-CIPHET web site. The

interview will certainly be conducted ONLINE via Zoom/Skype/WhatsApp on 11.11.2020 from 11.00 AM onwards. All the original documents will certainly be verified during the interview and also at the time of joining if chosen.

1. The above positions are totally on a short-term basis and also co-terminus with the project as well as there is no provision for absorption/ re-employment in ICAR/CIPHET/after completion of the time-bound project.
2. Age: The upper age limit will be 35 years (Based on DST O.M. SR/S9/Z -05/ 2019 dated 10.07.2020). Age relaxation in the case of SC/ST/OBC & various other exempted categories of candidates based on rules.
3. The screening test may be conducted, depending upon the number of candidates.
4. Only shortlisted applicants based on their academic excellence and research experience will be called for an interview.
5. The reporting time for an on-line interview will be communicated prior and also the applicant ought to adhere to the instructions.
6. Mobile number (ideally WhatsApp) and also E-mail ID need to be entered in the prescribed application form, consequently, the candidate has to have a valid operative e-mail and also mobile number. All shortlisted applicants are asked to download Zoom/Skype and also register prior to the scheduled time for an online interview.
7. Place of work will be ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana as well as entails working/ travelling in selected places of our country for activities taken under the project.
8. No TA/ DA will be paid for appearing in interview/ joining.
9. HRA (admissible) will be given only if, accommodation is not provided at the institute.
10. The services of chosen candidates can be dispensed with even prior to the termination of the project without any notice if, his/her service is no more required or his/her contribution is considered not up to the mark.
11. ‘No Objection Certification’ from the employer in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
12. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature or termination and if any applicant is located to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will certainly be summarily rejected.
13. The chosen applicant will certainly be needed to generate all the original documents as well as medical certification at the time of joining.
14. The Director, CIPHET, Ludhiana’s decision will be final and also binding in all respects.

Emoluments:

i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to scholars that are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or GATE OR (b) A selection procedure via National Level exams conducted by Central Government Departments as well as their agencies & institutions.
ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others that do not fall under

(i). According To DST O.M., SR/S9/Z -05/ 2019 dated 10.07.2020.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology (specialized in Entomology)/ Apiculture/ Sericulture.
or
Biological Sciences or allied disciplines with entomology as a minor subject.

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge/experience in Insect culturing, insect ecological studies, morphometry analysis, and also other basic experimentation related to entomological research with published research papers will be preferred.
