Age Relaxation:

The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of applicants and needs of the applicants in the project.

All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the position and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement.
It is compulsory for all the applicants to fill in all the columns of the proforma very carefully before submission. No other format of an application shall be accepted.
The original documents of the selected applicants will be verified at the time of joining and in the event of any of the information mentioned in the application proforma found false or incorrect, their candidature will be cancelled straight away.
The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the period of the project. There will certainly be no right implicit or explicit for the regular position for any kind of post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever.
The decision of the Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur will be final for engagement of Research Associate-I in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (H.P.).

Essential Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbial Biotechnology / Fermentation Technology / Life Sciences from recognized university or equivalent.
OR
M.Tech. in Biotechnology or Biochemical engineering or Microbial Biotechnology with 2 years of relevant experience from recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications: Broad practical lab level experience in biochemistry,
biophysics or microbiology preferably enzymes and proteins and working experience in the area of protein expression and purification, characterization along with the handling of bioreactors and fermenters will be desirable.
Job Description: Successful candidates will be working upon process optimization, upscale production and purification of the toxicological grade recombinant therapeutic protein.
