Applications are invites online up to 5.30 PM of 14.09.2020 for the following positions which are to be filled simply on temporary & contract basis at ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur.
How to Apply:
- Qualification & experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential
qualification. - Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organization are not eligible.
- Candidates who will be interviewed online, if they are selected will have to produce original documents of their qualification age and experience before joining. If they are
not found entitled, their selection will be cancelled immediately. - Candidates are advised to keep looking at the website of this Institute for any change, result or any other information.
- Departmental candidates or candidates working/have worked on a project of ICMR Institutes/ Centre’s shall be given age relaxation to a minimum of five years or a completed months/year based on earlier project services, whichever is less, they meet the essential qualification and experience prescribed for the post, with a view to providing the opportunity to compare with other candidates.
- If the candidates of the reserved category are not available, an appointment will be made from the candidates of other categories as per the recommendations of the selection committee and future vacancy filled from the candidates of relevant categories.
- Age relaxation against post earmarked for reserved candidates will be as per Govt. of India Norms. No relaxation will be allowed in unreserved posts.
- Age will be reckoned from the last date of receipt of application i.e. 14/09/2020
- Above post is contractual for the duration offered may or may not be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- Stipend/consolidated emoluments of the project positions may vary from time to time
- No TA/ DA will be paid and the candidate has to arrange transport/accommodation themselves for discussion meeting.
- The Director, ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur reserves rights to consider or reject any application/candidature.
- Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
- Appointment on project consultant mode is purely temporary and candidates shall have no claim for a regular appointment either in ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur or ICMR or any

Job Name: Project Research Associate-I
No. of Posts: 01
Name of the Project: “Biomarkers of leprosy using comparative transcriptomics-RLS project
Duration: Four (4) months and may be extended up to July 2021.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 Years. 2 Years age relaxation for woman candidates.
Salary per month: Rs.47,000 plus HRA pm
Essential Qualifications: PhD or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research,
teaching and design and development experience after Master Degree in Life Science
subject.
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in genomic/proteomic aspects of
Leprosy/mycobacterial diseases and first-author peer-reviewed research articles in the related field, publication in computational biology of mycobacterial diseases on NGS data analysis.
Work Responsibility: Computational analysis of bioinformatics data, phylogenetic
analysis, genomic and proteomic analysis of Mycobacterial genomes and their comparative genomic characterization, NGS lib prep work, data mining, manuscript and review
compilation and contribution in the routine functioning of the lab.

Job Name: Contract Technical Assistant
No. of Posts: 01
Name of the Project: “Enhancing diagnostic facility of COVID-19 at ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur”
Duration: Six (6) months.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 Years.
Salary per month: Rs.31,000 pm
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Life Science subject pertinent to the present need with three years of work experience. Or a Master degree in the appropriate subjects.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in sample collection from human/animals. Knowledge of computer applications.
Work Responsibility: To conduct COVID-19 diagnosis using molecular tests (individual might need to work in shifts).

Job Name: Project Research Associate-I

Name of the Project: “Centre for the studies of complex malaria in India-2”
Duration: one year.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 Years. 2 Years age relaxation for woman candidates.
Salary per month: Rs.47,000 plus HRA pm
Essential Qualifications: PhD or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research,
teaching and design and development experience after Master Degree in Life Science
subject.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with experience in genomics, bioinformatics, drug designing will certainly be favoured.
Work Responsibility: To conduct research in malaria genomics, DNA sequence analysis, fieldwork or various other work assigned by the Director/ Principal Investigator. Job involves research in tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh/ Chhattisgarh, and also North-East States of India.

Job Name: Junior Project Research Fellow

Name of the Project: “Enhancing diagnostic facility of COVID-19 at ICMR-NIRTH, Jabalpur”
Duration: one year
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 Years.
Salary per month: Rs.16,000 pm
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate degree in any kind of branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with working experience in Molecular Biology tools and/ or Bioinformatics will certainly be preferred.
Work Responsibility: Will be responsible for field and also laboratory-based work or any other work assigned by the Director/ Principal Investigator. The job entails research in tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh/ Chhattisgarh, as well as the NorthEast States of India.
