Engagement is for the project and also on behalf of their financing agency. The duration of this post is original as Mentioned previously or until the final date of this project, whichever is sooner. Tenure may be extendable up to project duration. The engagement which is on a contract basis in respect of all above positions will confer no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/ or explicitly for their continuation beyond tenure/absorption/ regularization in CSIR-IGIB. A contract can be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side.

Candidates must be aware that non-fulfilment of this eligibility criterion will Lead to the cancellation of candidature at any given stage.

Those candidates who are still pursuing M.Sc./B.Tech or any qualification for the above post(s) on the last date of application will not be considered.

No application would be entertained with “result awaited” status or after the due date.

List of shortlisted applicants and candidates kept in a panel is going to be put up on CSIR-IGIB site. Panel students are going to be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the board candidate fulfils his/her requirement for their project, they’ll be called; otherwise, a new ad is going to be put up.

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be according to guidelines of the CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have an option to give a reply in Hindi.

There would be no automatic shifting of project staff from one project to another. On completion of the tenure in one project, if one intends to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the procedure of selection by submitting a fresh application under the new project. Consultation under the new project would be made only after submission of ‘No Demand Certificate’ as well as ‘No Dues Certificate’ in the previous project as well as submission of resignation from the previous project.

Note: The shortlisted candidates have to keep ready with them a valid photo ID card, an updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self-attested photocopies for verification.

Stipend (per month): Rs 67,000/- plus 24 percent HRA pm

Essential Qualification for IGIB Job: PhD in any area of life sciences with 3
years of experience.
