Title of the project: “Pre-clinical development of falcipain inhibitors as potent antimalarials”
Principal Investigator: Dr Mohammad Abid
Co-Principal Investigator: Dr Shailja Singh
Duration: The appointment will be purely on a temporary basis for the first year initially which can be further extended up to three years based on the performance of the candidate. However, the duration of JRF is co-terminus with the duration of the Project and will have no financial liability beyond the duration of the project.

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. (in any area of Life-sciences/Bioinformatics or allied subject) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (equivalent CGPA). Candidates should have cleared UGC/CSIR-NET or any other national level exam conducted by National agencies like DBT/ICMR/DST. Candidates having previous laboratory experience and a strong background in medicinal chemistry/biochemistry/drug discovery will be given preference. Research experience in the relevant area. supported by publications would be a plus. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email about the date of interview. All the shortlisted candidates will be provided with an appropriate link along with date and time for the online interview. Candidates from remote areas with no online facility may be assessed through telephonic interaction.
