Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) in collaboration with the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) have set up Covid-19 Testing Laboratory. Applications are being welcomed for the following short term positions in the Covid-19 testing laboratory.

- Last date for receipt of applications: July 10, 2020.
- Applicants ought to submit a one-two page curriculum vitae (Curriculum Vitae) with their name, current address, telephone contact and e-mail ID. The Curriculum Vitae needs to include information on educational qualifications and any type of relevant work experience. The name and contact e-mail ID of one professional referee ought to be provided. The application must be submitted as one consolidated pdf. Mark-sheets and testimonials should not be included.
- All candidates should mention the Post Code in their application/Email.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed on email and interviewed via electronic mode. A. One Post of Project Associate-I (Post Code- PA- 1) (15th July 2020– 31st March 2021).
The selected applicant will be required to work with small teams of volunteers in different modules of the testing laboratory based upon requirements. Responsibilities include processing big sample volumes using manual or automated approaches.
Basic qualification: Masters’ degree in any branch of life sciences including laboratory techniques and clinical diagnostics.
Work experience in a diagnostic laboratory/clinical research laboratory will be given added weightage.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs 31000/- + HRA.
Institute hostel accommodation on a shared basis may be availed (HRA will be recovered).
B. One post of Project Associate-II (Post Code- PA- 2) (15th July 2020– 31st March 2021).
The selected candidates will work with a small team of volunteers to coordinate clinical data entry, management and reporting of test data, maintain records and coordinate workflow between different modules in the testing centre.
Basic qualification: Masters’ degree in any kind of branch of life sciences including laboratory techniques and clinical diagnostics. Work experience in a diagnostic laboratory/ data management and operations will be given additional weightage.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs 35000/- + HRA.
Institute hostel accommodation on a shared basis may be availed (HRA will be recovered).
C. 2 posts of Project Assistant (Post Code- PA- 3) (15th July– 31st December, 2020).
The selected candidates will be required to work (under supervision) in different modules of the testing laboratory based upon requirements.
Basic qualification: Masters’ degree in any type of branch of life sciences including laboratory techniques and clinical diagnostics.
Laboratory/ clinical work experience is preferred.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs 30,000/- (consolidated).
Hostel accommodation is not available.
D. One post of Project Assistant (Post Code- PA- 4) (15th July– 31st December 2020).
Basic qualification: Masters’ degree in any type of branch of life sciences.
Practical experience in a diagnostic laboratory/ RT-PCR based analysis will be given weightage.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs 22,000/- (consolidated).
Hostel accommodation is not available.
