The following posts are to be filled up on a temporary basis under Indo-US TB Project, Dept. of Preventive and Social Medicine, JIPMER. Interested and eligible applicants may email their two (2) page CV to the mail ID: [email protected] (Please mention the name of the post applied for). The last date for sending the CV is 30.06.2020. The applicants will be shortlisted based on their CV. The shortlisted applicants will receive an email confirmation which will also include details of the Zoom call. The selected applicants will be engaged in INDO US TB projects as and when required.
How to Apply:
- The validity of the selected list is valid only for ONE YEAR from the date of publication of results and renewable accordingly.
- Qualification and experience should be in the relevant discipline/field from an institute of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
- Qualifications, experience and other terms and conditions may be relaxed/altered at the direction of the Project Investigator.
- Experience in Tuberculosis research will be considered as the most desired qualification and upper age limit may be relaxed based on experience in TB research.
- The posts are purely on contract basis for an externally sponsored project, and no claim for any other regular posts in JIPMER shall be entertained.
- Valid email id and mobile number are mandatory.
- Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time. No other allowances/ facilities other than consolidated salary shall be extended.
- The decision of the PI will be final.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
- Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidate at any stage.
- If the performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, the appointment can be terminated at any time without any notice.
- The appointee may be relieved from the current job position, with one-month prior notification, failing to do so may be held responsible for paying one month salary.

Name of the Post: Senior Technical Assistant (Lab Tech)

Pay/month (Approx): Rs. 30,000
Qualification:
Essential: Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry from a recognized university with one-year of work experience in a recognized organization.
Desirable:
- Lab experience in conventional and molecular techniques, handling infectious agents.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Six years of lab experience and a min of three years of research experience in PBMC processing.

Name of the Post: Senior Lab Assistant

Age limit/year: up to 35 years
Pay/month (Approx): Rs. 19,900
Qualification:
Essential: Master’s in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology with diploma in medical lab technology and 60 percent aggregate marks from a recognized university.
Desirable: One year of work experience in a research lab preferably in Mycobacteriology and PBMC isolation and HIV-ELISA technique.
