Online Interview for temporary positions of “Project Scientist-II and Project Assistant-II” for COVID-19 testing Project:
Age Relaxation:
5 years for SC/ ST/ Women, 3 years for OBC as well as widows, divorced women, as well as women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried, are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years, (up to 40 years for members of SC/ STs).
The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of applicants and needs of the applicants in the project.
The on-line applications should be reached on or prior to 05-05-2020 by 23:59 hrs. All the applications will be scrutinized by the duly constituted Committee on 06-05-2020 and eligible candidates will certainly be interviewed over Video Conferencing.
All the candidates are advised to give their e-mail IDs’/ Phone Number I Skype IDs’ to enable us to take the interview accordingly.
The eligible candidates for
the post of Project Scientist-II will be interviewed on 06-05-2020 (Wednesday) at 02:30 P.M. and also eligible applicants for the post of Project Assistant-II will certainly be interviewed on 08-05-2020 (Friday) at 11:00 A.M. onwards. All the applicants are requested to download Microsoft Team (MS Team) application on their Mobiles or Laptop and be ready for the interview accordingly. The selected applicants will certainly be informed via email to report for duty immediately.All interested candidates are required to send scan copies of duly completed application form along with scan copies of original documents related to educational qualification, age, caste, experience, publication/ patents & Brief Biodata (in pdf form) through E-mail on [email protected].
The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the period of the project. There will certainly be no right implicit or explicit for the regular position for any kind of post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever.
The decision of the Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur will be final for engagement of Project Scientist-II and Project Assistant-II in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (H.P.).

Essential Qualifications: PhD in Virology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology Biochemistry / Biotechnology or any branch of Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualifications: Working experience in qRT-PCR and data analysis.
Job Description: Successful candidate is expected to work on testing of COVID-19
using methods such as Quantitative RT-PCR.

Desirable Qualifications: Working experience in molecular biology, RNA extraction, PCR etc.
Job Description: Successful candidate is expected to work on testing of COVID-19 using methods such as Quantitative RT-PCR.
