Bose Institute Summer Training 2020 – Applications Invited
The notification for the Bose Institute Summer Training 2020 has been announced. Interested and eligible candidates with a background in biological sciences and are actively pursuing their MSc, MTech, Integrated MS students in their 4th year are encouraged. Bose Institute provides short-term training for outstanding students in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences as well as Chemical Sciences from different Universities/ academic institutes during the months of May to July 2020 (for a total period of 2 months). The training is provided by faculty members of the Institute that would select students based upon their very own academic Interest and those of the students. Students are encouraged to visit the web-pages of individual faculty members to make them aware of the offered research programmes prior to
filling up the form. A maximum of thirty students maybe selected under this program. Students selected by the Science Education panel of Indian
Academy of Sciences for Summer Research Fellowship-2020 and also assigned to Bose Institute need not to apply again. Regrettably, no accommodation can be provided as well as outstation applicants are expected to arrange for their very own accommodation in Kolkata.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Students pursuing Masters Degree (e.g. MSc, MVSc, MTech, Integrated MS students in their Fourth year) in any kind of stream of physical/biological/engineering/ medical sciences. Students pursuing Bachelors’ courses (eg B.Sc) may also apply if they are the recipients of INSPIRE, JBNSTS, KVPY, NTSE or similar prestigious awards.
- ≥ 75% aggregate score (or an equal grade) in both secondary (+10) and also higher secondary ( 10 +2) as well as ≥ 60% in the graduation.
APPLICATION FORMAT:
